Because I’m Happy

Who says your child has to wait until Halloween to dress up like their favorite character.  It’s the small things that make a child happy and can help them temporarily forget about the pain they maybe harboring inside due to abandonment.  The feeling of rejection doesn’t feel good when we are adults and it certainly doesn’t feel good as a child, especially from someone they love and believes should also love them.  As a single parent we must be mindful of these feelings and protective over continuos harm.  So don’t treat today as another ordinary day, be happy with your child.  Dress up in old costumes and play  hidden treasures outdoors.  Make some yummy cupcakes.  Record yourself singing and dancing and watch your silly performance later.  Laughter is the best medicine.
